Jan. / Feb. 2010 - Update
Well as
everyone all ready knows we have had a harsh winter to say the
least. Blackfin tuna jigging has not been as good as last season
because the Gulf Stream has been getting pushed in and then out
on an almost a daily basis and this has mixed up everything.
This is not a normal occurrence. The “Old Timers” down here say
this winter has been the worst in 30 years, and that says alot...
Starting in late Nov. in 2010 we will begin jigging for the
Blackfin again and expect to do this through the end of February
and beginning of March, 2011.
Pictures of
fishing are limited this year because of charters being blown
out due to wind and water conditions not being very conducive to
jigging the blackfin tuna. I try not to drag any of my customers
down here just to watch the wind blow or not have favorable
conditions for jigging such as water being where it needs to be
to have a productive day.
Thanks for
everyone's patients and ability to reschedule their trips
because one of the these mentioned variables were not right.
I highly
recommend that you reserve your dates NOW for next
season. Especially if you want a charter trip on a Friday,
Saturday, Sunday or Monday.
