3/1/2010   Bluefins have been biting very well. They seem to be very plentiful and should be here for awhile. We have been jigging, trolling and chunking them.

*** Also please click HERE to check out this great bluefin tuna fishing charter trip account by Dr. Ken Neill III of his recent trip (3-1-2010) and some great pictures he sent to us. Let's go fishing!

2/17/2010  Bluefin Fishing has been fantastic. We are catching and releasing many. One day comes home with us! We use jigging rods and reels, (bent butt 80s with  a bucket harness in the fighting chair) and of course stand-up gear to angle these large fish.

  Jan. / Feb. 2010 - Update

Well as everyone all ready knows we have had a harsh winter to say the least. Blackfin tuna jigging has not been as good as last season because the Gulf Stream has been getting pushed in and then out on an almost a daily basis and this has mixed up everything. This is not a normal occurrence. The “Old Timers” down here say this winter has been the worst in 30 years, and that says alot... Starting in late Nov. in 2010 we will begin jigging for the Blackfin again and expect to do this through the end of February and beginning of March, 2011.

Pictures of fishing are limited this year because of charters being blown out due to wind and water conditions not being very conducive to jigging the blackfin tuna. I try not to drag any of my customers down here just to watch the wind blow or not have favorable conditions for jigging such as water being where it needs to be to have a productive day.

Thanks for everyone's patients and ability to reschedule their trips because one of the these mentioned variables were not right.

I highly recommend that you reserve your dates NOW for next season. Especially if you want a charter trip on a Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Monday.

Capt. Scott

Bluefins are here and a lot of them. We have found schools of nice fish out near the change. We could have caught then all day yesterday (2-12-10) but they wore my crew down and we went to try something else. Everyone got a release citation and the fish we kept was 70 inches but was thin so only weighed 180 pounds.

  Testimonial from Peter Park (BookFishingTrips.com)

Let me just say, last Sunday was one of the best fishing trips I’ve ever had ANYWHERE! As promised, we will follow up with our clients, and gauge their interest in future trips. I think the mighty Bluefin has become my #1 favorite fish of all time. Personally, I can’t wait to do it again on the Big Tahuna. As I watched all the unedited videos last time (while making the movies), I could really see the passion you and Kenny have for fishing and satisfying your clients.

12-12-2009  We have some of the hottest fishing of the year going on right now through the next few months. Don't miss out on this opportunity! The first picture on the left was after only one hour of fishing. The king mackerel caught by Jeff in the center was 42 pounds. We had 21 blackfin tuna and we came in early because we follow a limit of 3 per person. These blackfin were 15-28 pounds with 10 citations over 20 pounds but we only registered 3 for awards because some anglers already had citations from last year.

(It is not uncommon for us to catch 10-50 blackfin tuna per day while jigging from now through March!)

Happy New Year!!!  ........  Blackfin tuna fishing has been great. We have had two slow days, because of water and wind conditions. Overall it has been phenomenal. Lets go Jigging....
