Why not make your Cape Hatteras charter sport fishing or duck hunting experience something special? We cordially invite all “sportsmen and sportswomen” to come and enjoy our first class accommodations at the new Camp Tahuna. Our deluxe lodging package includes a wide open fully equipped kitchen, dining area and clean comfortable living room. All linens are provided for our 3-bedrooms (sleeps 9), 1 bath and master bath with shower and garden tub plus a laundry room. These incredible accommodations are now available for groups wanting to fish, duck hunt or both with Big Tahuna.
While you are enjoying your “5 O’CLOCK SOMEWHERE” grab a seat at our custom designed Big Tahuna Bar (which is a must to see)! It will make you feel like you are fishing on the Big Tahuna herself. In fact, we had one charter group that was late showing up because they thought they were already there at the boat!
Please Note: When Camp Tahuna is not being used by charter fishing groups it is also available to Hatteras Island visitors that are looking for last minute accommodations (even if they don't fish or hunt). Additionally long term rentals will also considered on a case by case basis.

Duck Hunting Opportunities:
Camp Big Tahuna offers our own private duck hunting island. Our hunting guides will deliver hunters by boat to their blind for morning until "noonish" hunt. The island is a 166 acre waterfowl paradise featuring sound side ducks, redheads, blue bills, brant, and merganser. There are also several ponds which hold teal, widgeon, gadwall, and mallards. We also have a large area for those who like to walk the marshes and jump-shoot black ducks. This property has been hunted for decades by a handful of local natives but was recently acquired by Buddy Foster for your duck hunting enjoyment. We have obtained special permits which allows us to raise our own ducks and enjoy a shoulder season from Oct. 1 through March 1 for mallards (only) or whatever ducks we raise. During regular duck season, all allowable species can be taken.
